@irishtradesman

What happened

This is everything I have on record. I'm Bee Clarke, based in Ireland, and @irishtradesman was my only Instagram account. It was disabled on 24 May 2026 for Community Standards, but Meta never named the standard or pointed to a specific post. I've put this page together because the in-app appeal route is closed and I need somewhere honest to lay it all out.

Aug–Nov 2025

Posts started getting removed

Before the whole account went, individual posts were taken down and my appeals came back denied. Meta cited things like nudity or sexual activity at the time. I've kept screenshots of all of it. They're further down the page. This was all before the account-level disable.

More removals, same answer

More posts removed. Every appeal came back Review complete. We did not restore your post. Not long after that I lost access to the account entirely.

24 May 2026

Account disabled

Instagram showed me: "We've disabled your account. You no longer have access to irishtradesman."

The message says the content reviewed "still doesn't follow our Community Standards" but still doesn't say which standard or which content. It also says "You cannot request another review of this decision."

Since then

Escalated outside Instagram

With no in-app review left, I've filed complaints with the Irish Data Protection Commission and the Appeals Centre. I'm still waiting for a proper answer, one that actually names the content and the rule involved. I'm also asking Meta directly for a manual review and my account back before anything gets permanently deleted. Happy to send ID or do a video verification if that's what's needed.

About the content

Meta has flagged my posts for nudity, sexual activity, or just "Community Standards" without explaining further. That doesn't match what I actually posted.

There was no nudity. Everything under review was clothed: workwear, hi-vis, casual outfits, everyday tradie and lifestyle stuff. Some photos showed a bare stomach at most. In a few images you could see my body shape through clothing because of how I'm built. That's not nudity and it's not sexual activity.

The account was LGBTQ+ body positivity and Irish tradie culture. Not pornography. The screenshots below show Meta labelling clothed, non-explicit posts as violations, and that's the heart of this.

The Facebook thing

My Facebook was linked to @irishtradesman for cross-posting. Pretty much every post Instagram removed is still up there, and the Facebook page itself is still running. When Meta disables an account for serious violations they usually take down the linked Facebook as well. Mine wasn't touched.

Meta owns both platforms. I don't understand how the same content breaks the rules on Instagram and is fine on Facebook, or why one account got killed and the other didn't.

My Facebook: facebook.com/profile.php?id=61565810181913. Same owner, same posts, linked for cross-posting. If they were genuinely against policy they wouldn't still be published there, and the Facebook wouldn't still be active.

What my Facebook data export shows

I downloaded my Facebook data on 8 June 2026 and went through every file linked from start_here.html — 28 HTML files in total, including posts, photos, albums, videos, edits, sharing links, trash, and memories. The export contains 55 JPGs and 26 video files, but none of the five removed Instagram posts have a downloadable image file in the download.

The posts timeline in the export only runs from September 2024 to June 2026 (131 entries). August and September 2025 are not in it at all, so the older appeal posts were either never cross-posted to Facebook or are not included in this download.

Per appeal post

  • 13 Mar 2026 — "Gotta adjust ya know"
Caption confirmed in the main posts file and in two edit-history files. Listed as a video post at 11:11 pm. No image or video file bundled in the export.
  • 14 Mar 2026 — "Good boys hide away in cubicles"
Caption confirmed in the main posts file. Listed as a video post at 7:33 pm, tagged Cork. No image or video file bundled.
  • 15 Mar 2026 — "Good morning, let's chill out for the day"
Caption not found anywhere in the export. Only a sharing-link entry on 15 Mar (a Facebook story URL, no caption or image).
  • 6 Sep 2025 — "That weekend feeling…"
Not found in any export file. No September 2025 posts in the download at all.
  • 21 Aug 2025 — "Working out in Clare today…"
Not found in any export file. No August 2025 posts in the download at all.

What I'm asking for:

Restore @irishtradesman before anything gets permanently deleted. My Facebook was linked for cross-posting and is still running with the same posts live on Facebook. Tell me why Instagram treated them differently and why the linked Facebook wasn't taken down too. Tell me clearly which Community Standard was broken and which content caused the disable. And give me a way to be heard now that the in-app appeal is gone.

I've also raised this with the Irish DPC and the Appeals Centre and I'm waiting on proper responses from them too. I downloaded my account data in August 2025. If you need to reach me: bee@irishtradesman.ie
